More flexibility, safety and efficiency at the front of the train
Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik is expanding its pioneering role in the field of maintenance equipment for rail vehicles: The quality manufacturer has developed a new front work platform for train front maintenance that is not only innovative and extremely safe. Thanks to its sophisticated 3-in-1 running gear and height-adjustable platform, the work platform is also particularly flexible, multifunctional and optimises work processes at the same time. This also increases efficiency in maintenance workshops.
"Our new front work platform is a real all-rounder. With the innovative 3-in-1 chassis, it can be used on track or on elevated track just as well as on the hall floor. On the other hand, the working height can be adapted to the respective conditions. This means that one and the same working platform can be used for windscreen wiper repairs, windscreen replacement as well as for top light maintenance at the front of the train," explains Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group.
Thanks to its stable, sophisticated 3-in-1 chassis with polyamide castors (swivel castor diameter 200 x 80 mm), the new front working platform from the Bavarian quality manufacturer can be moved on all even surfaces. The design with telescopic tube system and lowerable support feet makes the top innovation from Günzburg a multifunctional work platform: it can be used on regular and elevated tracks as well as on the hall floor of maintenance workshops.
The platform, which can be adjusted in height by means of a cable winch, provides a working area of around four square metres and enables work at different heights. The platform height can be adjusted in increments of 200 mm. The technicians have access to the working platform via a space-saving ladder. A self-closing safety door and plug-in railings that can be folded forwards also guarantee comfort and top working safety.
