What sounds like an unrealisable dream has long since become reality for Alstom Transport Deutschland GmbH: thanks to a specially developed mobile maintenance platform from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, which works wirelessly in battery mode, the wagon repair service team at the Salzgitter site can carry out inspection and repair work more flexibly and safely than ever before.

    Roof work stands for DB Regio in Braunschweig

    Investment in the future: DB Regio AG Region Nord's Braunschweig operation has equipped its workshop with three roof work stands from the Bavarian quality manufacturer Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik. The walkways, which are mounted on both sides of three maintenance tracks and have a total length of 170 metres, enable the maintenance team in Braunschweig to work with a zero gap dimension for the first time and reduce the downtimes of the DB Regio Nord locomotives and railcars to be maintained by more than half. The total investment amounts to more than half a million euros.

    DB Regio relies on roof working platform from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik in Stuttgart

    Investment for faster, cheaper and, above all, safer maintenance of rail vehicles: DB Regio AG has equipped its passenger coach workshop at Verkehrsbetriebe Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart with an electrically adjustable mobile roof workstation from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik.

    Mobile work platforms for crane production

    A new dimension in work safety and efficiency: Liebherr, one of the world's leading suppliers of mobile cranes, is now using mobile work platforms up to 5.90 metres long with integrated stairs from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik at its mobile crane factory in Ehingen. These not only save the employees in final assembly a lot of time, but also guarantee them maximum safety and enable them to work particularly ergonomically during all assembly activities on the superstructures of the mobile cranes.

    The highlight of the new designs from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik: Since the superstructure has to be turned again and again during assembly work on mobile cranes, employees can simply fold down the scissor railings of the platform with a flick of the wrist whenever necessary so that the superstructure can be swivelled freely through 360 degrees.
